Confused...if Lilith and Adam were created on equal footing why was she expected to be submissive? What did she have to rebel against? Eve was "cursed" with being dominated only after eating the forbidden fruit...suggesting this wasn't the original arrangement for her either.
It really is an interesting subject. The scriptures certainly read in a way that suggests both male and female were created at the same time, prior to the creation of Eve. Leaves me with many more questions.
Just wanted to share an awesome book I read that’s supposed to be from Liliths pov. It’s not scholarly by any means but it’s an interesting perspective of what Lilith could have been/gone through etc - Lilith by Nikki Marmery
Just another myth based on someone's imagination. Sounds like something made up as a object lesson to tell women they need to behave! The real scripture doesn't downgrade women!
