It is an interesting article and I enjoyed reading it. Still philosophical questions remain, like what to do when faced with monsters that would not stop until they have completely subjugated you and destroyed your human dignity. Should we strive peace at any price? Should we continuously appease them hoping they would change or hoping we misunderstood them? Considering what is happening around the world today, I personally am praying for a modern-day Winston Churchill.

The fact that he lived to 93 is amazing after having received two very high doses of radiation. His wife's 88 years is equally surprising.

This is tangential, but most people don't realize that Rudolph pest when he parachuted into London sold the nuclear material that they had already mined plus fat man and little boy... And we also had intelligence that the Japanese had their own as well, in Nagasaki harbor... This is why the Japanese did not surrender after Hiroshima.. they're nuke was headed for LA, fat man and little boy were aimed at London and New York

A world free of nukes? We tried that after 'glasnost'. Sadly, the Soviets lost track of all their nukes after that, and they could turn up anywhere. The book of Revelation if you're scared of nukes. It doesn't end well.
