Can one single plant spice up your meals and cure what ails you? Drive your libido to new heights and prevent pregnancies? The ancient Greeks and Romans had a plant that did all that and more.
If there is a plant with silphium’s properties today, I hope women have learned from their ancestors to never, ever, ever, ever, EVER tell men about it. Don’t type it into Google, don’t ask Claude about it, word-of-mouth, trusted women only.
The current state of reproductive health care in America shows they should have never been entrusted with any knowledge of how reproduction works. Maybe if men still saw pregnancy as a real act of god, they’d actually revere the act of creation and the women who bring forth life, not rape and subjugate them like they do the planet in their endless chimpanzee quest for domination (that’s driving all of humanity right off a cliff, making the whole prospect of having babies much less unappealing in the first place).
Life was better in the days when more women knew how to bring on delayed menstruation with a few herbs and other tricks than when they began relying on patriarchal laws to dictate their healthcare.

It's growing in Turkey...
I read about it in National Geographic.
