The operation was actually called: Liberty Bell" and was the brain child of John L. Butts (1929–2011), U.S. Navy rear admiral and former director of the Office of Naval Intelligence.

I find it both interesting, and disturbing, how some people lump people they have never met into an enemy category even if there is no real war looming.

As for selling U.S. secrets for $5,000 . . . all I can say about that is why worry about foreign "enemies" when we have so many more within our own borders?

I will never hate a person I have never met. That makes no logical sense whatsoever to me. I distrust our own government more than a person who happens to live in Russia. That does not mean I am reckless in trust; only that I need concrete proof as to why I should NOT be friends with someone I don't know who is living in Russia. I highly doubt civilians there are shouting death to the USA. That seems to be likely someone who left the USA the LAST time Trump was in office and didn't want him there. I may have moved myself if I had the money to do so, but being of Scot descent, that would be a hellofa lot of money that I could spend elsewhere, like on Kitchen appliances that are actually made well, or save for college for one of my kids, or . . . . . .
