One of the creepiest unsolved crimes I know of. Thanks for covering it.

There are two places that state the date as 2018 and 2015, but I assume the rear should have been 1918 and 1915. This inference of incest seems suspicious. How can we know if there is a shred of truth to it? The era of this ugly inference was said before/during WW1. They had zero sex ed, zero exposure to anybody outside of their immediate communities, and zero ability to trace a child’s genes to paternity. Should we assume that any rumors about incest was due to extreme puritanical beliefs or is there any shred of truth we should know about? Bottom line: the vast majority of people are killed by someone they know. Today’s investigators would start with friends and family and work their way out from there. Maybe look closely at the daughter’s family? Then look closely at her son’s paternal family, etc.

Or possibly someone with a personal connection to the farm which indicates to me it’s more likely someone who had once lived there.
